Tonight I find myself sitting on the beautiful shores of Lake Tahoe preparing to head back out on the Pacific Crest Trail tomorrow morning. A second chance with a whole new mindset and I'm am so grateful for the opportunity again. Back in March, I started at the Mexican border. The nervousness was such I felt nauseous a couple days before I left and almost yacked before boarding the plane to San Diego.

Today, as I traveled across the country back to the mountains, I felt relaxed and ready. Back in March I started this hike with a "conquer the trail" mentality. As I return, I'm not setting out to conquer the trail anymore......... I'm setting out to enjoy the trail. I have no idea how far I plan to go....I guess until I feel done. It's a freeing way to enter this part of the trail. Tomorrow I'll start out in the Desolation Wilderness area and follow the PCT north. It's suppose to be incredible country. I will try to send out pictures and blogs as I go. I'm not sure how much service I'll get out in the northern California mountains, but I guess I'll find out.
